PROGRAMME OF EVENTS
2023-2024
Meeting are held on Tuesdays, every other week starting at 7.00pm and finishing at 9.00pm.
Membership for the full year is £35.
Meetings are held in St Catharine’s Hall, George Street, Blairgowrie PH10 6EY.
Parking is available on the streets around the Hall.
NOTES:
ALL “PROJECT” AND COMPETITION IMAGES MUST HAVE BEEN TAKEN SINCE JANUARY 2022.
ON PRESENTATION NIGHTS, MEMBERS CAN BRING UP TO 2 IMAGES ON THE SELECTED “MONTHLY PROJECT”. MEMBERS CAN BE ASKED ON WHY THEY TOOK THAT IMAGE OR A TECHNICAL QUESTION. OTHER MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO CONSTRUCTIVELY CRITIQUE IMAGES PRESENTED.
TOPICS FOR THE ADVICE CLINICS ARE TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE CHAIRPERSON IN ADVANCE.

Monday 28th First Committee Meeting - Preparation for 2023-24.
SEPTEMBER Photographic Project for this month is: “Street View Photography”
5th Presentation of images from the Summer Challenges – One for each monthly challenge only.
19th Tutorial/Practical – Still Life; Remember to bring your Still Life subjects, camera and tripod.
OCTOBER Photographic Project for this month is: “Wildlife, Animals, Pets”
3rd Presentation: Members present their “September” project images, 2 images per member); Plus any left over Summer Challenge images ( 1 image per challenge).
17th Workshop: Photo Editing - Luminar, Photoshop and Lightroom. Volunteers: Dug on Lightroom; Andy on Photoshop and Lightroom?
Hand in date for Open Digital Competition.

31st Speaker: Ian Findlay Mackay – Photos from the Air and Flying both Military and Civilian.
NOVEMBER Photographic Project for this month is: “Anything Yellow (use your imagination)”
14th OPEN DIGITAL COMPETITION: Maximum 2 images per member. Judge – Malcolm Lind.
28th Presentation: Members present their “October and November” images.
Also deadline for members to hand in up to 4 images for the Knockout Competition.
DECEMBER Photographic Project for this month is:” “Christmas lights/trees – anything Christmassy”
121h Christmas Quiz and Buffet – Christmas jumpers and hats to worn please
Friday 15th – Provisional Date for Christmas Meal at the Strathmore Golf Club, 6.30 for 7.00pm

JANUARY
Photographic Project for this month is: “Reflective Photography”
9th Knockout Competition – 4 images per member - Fun way to start the New Year.
23rd Speaker: Talk by Claire from the “Blairie” on photo journalism. If Claire unavailable tutorial by members. (Neil will do a 30-40 minute demonstration on “Flickr” and questions) need 1 or 2 other volunteers.
Monday 29th Committee Meeting.
FEBRUARY Photographic Project for this month is: “Motion”
6th Presentation: Members present their “December and January” project images, maximum 2 images per project per member.
Hand in date for Digital Themed Competition. Theme is “Architecture”, max of 3 images per member.
20th Workshop Portraiture - Fun night, cameras, hats scarves, flashguns, backgrounds and studio lights.
MARCH Photographic Project for this month is:” “Patterns in Nature”
5th Digital Architecture Themed Competition: Judge - To be confirmed.
19th Speaker - To be confirmed.

2nd Presentation: Member’s present their “February” and “March” project images. Maximum of 2 images per project per member.
16th Workshop TBC (Possibly try indoor/outdoor again (Buddies) sunset back o’ 8pm.
30th Club AGM and setting of Summer 2024-25 Challenges.
